Bishkek—the capital of Kyrgyzstan—is a city of wide, tree-lined avenues, surrounded by the beautiful, snowcapped Kyrgyz Ala-Too mountain range. For months, the Bahá’í community there has been working to invite many friends, family, neighbours and colleagues, to the celebrations.
Only a few hours ago, 300 guests—curious to learn more about the life and teachings of Bahá'u'lláh—joined their friends in the spacious central hall of the new campus of the American University of Central Asia.
The programme included a viewing of the film *Light to the World* and an artistic presentation of a dance reflecting the unity of religions. Following the celebrations, some of the guests were inspired and moved by what they had learned of the life of Bahá'u'lláh and joined their friends in homes to carry on their conversation.
